A hardness test is enough, and our technicians run it during the free visit. Above 15 °TH water counts as hard, and above 25 °TH as very hard.

What exactly does a softener protect?
Your electric, solar or gas water heaters and boilers, your pipes, your taps, your shower screens and baths, your appliances (washing machine, iron, coffee machine, kettle) and, day to day, your skin and hair.
Softy or Lylö: which one?
Softy treats limescale, in a minimal footprint and without electricity: the right choice if limescale is your only concern and space is short. The Lylö station softens, but also filters particles and removes chlorine, pesticides and PFAS: the right choice if you also want to treat the water you drink.
Does a softener change the taste of the water?
A conventional softener treats limescale, not chlorine: the taste stays that of the mains. That is the difference with the Lylö station, whose two reactor filters remove chlorine, pesticides and PFAS, and therefore change the taste of your tap water.
What servicing and warranty apply?
Commissioning is included in the price and carried out by an approved technical centre. The annual service by EGBT SA extends the parts and labour warranty from two to five years. That leaves the salt, topped up according to your usage.
