Tap water, without the chlorine, pesticides and PFAS.

The water supplied in Geneva and Vaud is monitored and safe to drink, that’s a fact. But between the plant and your glass it carries chlorine that spoils the taste, and sometimes traces of pesticides or ‘forever chemicals’ (PFAS) whose extent becomes clearer every year. Filtering at home isn’t distrusting your water, it’s finishing the job properly.

Health & ecology

A family of four that gives up bottled water avoids hundreds of kilos of packs and plastic every year, and rediscovers what tea, coffee and neutral ice cubes actually taste like.

Renting?

Both solutions fit under the sink without building work and are cleanly removed if you move, a real question for Geneva’s expat households, and one our technicians answer during the site visit.

Frequently asked questions

Is reverse-osmosis water demineralised?

The membrane does retain most dissolved salts, that is the principle of reverse osmosis. But about 90% of your mineral intake comes from food, not water. Our article “Reverse-osmosis water and minerals” goes into detail, and remineralisation remains available as an option.

What capacity does the EMMO filter have?

One cartridge treats 10,000 litres for chlorine and 20,000 litres for PFAS (PFOA & PFHpA), roughly one change per year for a family of four. We keep cartridges in stock and call you when it’s time.

What does annual maintenance involve?

One annual visit from our technicians: replacement of cartridges or filters as they wear, a check of the connections and a quality test. Everything is scheduled by EGBT SA, there is nothing for you to monitor.

Can it be installed in a flat?

Yes: both the filter and the RO unit fit under the sink, without building work, in about two hours. If you move, the equipment is cleanly removed and comes with you, a frequent question our technicians answer during the visit.
